SBE AUSTRALIA ACCELERATES BIGGER, BETTER WOMEN-LED BUSINESSES
SBE were the first to identify the opportunity presented by high-potential women entrepreneurs in Australia, and have been the best at producing results ever since. Since 2012, SBE Australia has been providing women with access to tools, networks and knowledge so they can build and scale global, sustainable businesses. Female founders face a unique set of challenges. SBE understands these challenges, in addition to those commonly faced by entrepreneurs.
__________________________________________________________
SBE Australia has supported over 200 national mid-stage graduates in its Evolve program and over 90 Global level companies who have successfully raised over $1 billion in capital, had two IPOS and nine exits since launching in Australia in 2012. SBE Australia takes no equity in the businesses it supports. Previous alum include the founders of brands who are now household names such as Modibodi, Canva, OpenAgent, Thrivor, IntelligenceBank, Coviu, LVLY and others.

Since 2013, SBE Australia has run a NFP focused on accelerating women entrepreneurs in globally scalable technology and life-science based businesses. Our programs provide a network of “been there, built that” experts who support the entrepreneurs by sharing skills, knowledge, and building confidence in their approach. These businesses grow and expand in a sustainable manner, with specific emphasis on approaches to business models, capital raising and international expansion. SBE's programs are selective, highly competitive and only support high-growth potential, women-led businesses, while taking no equity. SBE Australia’s network is built on strong IP and deep operational expertise gained from working with women entrepreneurs in tech and biotech and other STEM-related areas for 10 years in this market. Our USA-based partner organisation, Springboard Enterprises, has over 20 years of experience and also connects experts globally to our alumnae when they are ready to expand, providing a unique and compelling advantage.
Quotes
“In 2012 women entrepreneurs were hard to find. We pulled in favours to have 8 amazing women join us in our first program. In 2022, the landscape is quite different. Talented entrepreneurs abound and I cannot wait to witness these 10 women take their success to the US, Asia and beyond with the expertise and generosity of our network”.
Kerri-Lee Sinclair, Chair, SBE Australia
"We are thrilled to launch our SBE Global Tech program with these extraordinary women. Enabling the success of these women are those that have gone before them. They continue to have impact on their businesses, the customers they serve, the communities they support and the economies they grow by their efforts and this is why we exist. It continues to be our mission to support women transforming industries around the globe".
Nicole Cook, CEO, SBE Australia
